NAME OF THE SOCIETY

The Society shall be known as 'Alumni Association, WangchaRajkumar Government College, Deomali' (AAWRGC) hereafter to as the 'Association'.

ADDRESS OF THE SOCIETY

The office of the Association shall be situated at WangchaRajkumar Government College, Deomali, TirapDistrict- Arunachal Pradesh, PinNo. 792129.

DEFINITION

(A) 'Association' means the 'Alumni Association,WangchaRajkumar Government College, Deomali, Tirap District- Arunachal Pradesh registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

(B) 'Executive Committee' means the member elected by the General Body for the purpose of running the business of the Alumni Association.

(C) 'Advisory Committee' means the Committee constituted to advise the Executive Committee.

(D) 'General Body' means all the members of Alumni Association,WangchaRajkumarGovernment College, Deomali,Tirap District- Arunachal Pradesh eligible to vote and take part in election and other related activities of the association under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

(E) 'Office' means a portion of the building within the 'WangchaRajkumar Government College, Deomali' Campus allotted to the Association by the competent authority for the purpose of office of the Association.

NATURE OF THE ASSOCIATION

It is a non-political and non-profiteering social organization.

Motto of the Alumni Association:- Peace and Development through knowledge

The 'Book' in the Logo symbolizes Knowledge. It through continuous learning process that an individual as a student, teacher and parents can achieve the goals in the day to day livings. Pahsong is a symbol of peace and development in the society. No civilized society can think of development without peace. It is peace which helps to develop a sense of fraternal feelings and belongingness in an institution, organization or any social set up in the society

POWERS OF THE ASSOCIATION

To achieve its objectives the Association shall have the following powers amongst others:

1. To enter into any arrangement or agreement with the Government Authorities, Colleges or Universities or any other organization that may seem conducive to the Association's objectives or any of them to obtain from any such authority rights, privileges, concessions and aids, the Association may deem fit to obtain, and to carry out, exercise and comply with such arrangement, agreement, rights, privileges and concessions in the interest of the Association.

2. To raise funds for the Association as provided for in the Act and Rules.

3. To determine, assess and receive the annual membership fees towards common expenses payable by the members.

4. To invest the money and property of the Association for the development of the institution and for boosting the morals through awards of meritorious students thereby helping them in higher education.

MEMBERSHIP

All the pass out and present students of WangchaRajkumar Government College, Deomali are eligible to be members of the Alumni Association except those convicted by the Courts/Judiciary as bankrupt, unsound mind and pending criminal cases. The membership of the Alumni Association will also cease to exist if any member fails to pay his/her annual membership fees and do not take part in Alumni related activities in the College whenever call upon to do so by the General Body of the Association.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The President shall be popularly elected on the basis of universal adult franchise and shall be the head of the association. All the proceedings of the general body of the association shall be in his/her name. He is empowered by the constitution of the Alumni association to appoint, nominate any member in consultation with the General Body and is the pressing officer of the house.

The Vice-President shall act as presiding officer in the absence of the president and all duties of the president shall be done by him/her to run the business of the house.

The General Secretary shall have the power to perform the duties of correspondence, circulating and attending important meetings whenever called upon to do so.

The Treasurer shall maintain the accounts and audits of the association and all money related activities shall be disbursed or sanctioned by him/her whenever necessity arises.

The Literary Secretary shall conduct or organize essay writing, drawing, painting, clay modeling, speech completions to develop reading habits and writing skills of the members from time to time.

The Information & Publicity Secretary shall be responsible for publishing newsletters, press release, news items in print media whether local, regional or national the activities undertaken by the association from time to time.

The Social service Secretary shall be responsible for the conduct of special camps like awareness campaigns, cleanliness drive, plantation of trees and other activities which the association may deem fit from time to time.

The Cultural Secretary shall organize folk dance, drama, and singing competitions and send troops to other places whenever necessary of doing such activities arises to develop a sense of belongingness and also cultural exchange with other communities of the state and country as a whole.

The Convener shall be responsible for the conduct of General Body meetings and other special meetings of the association by circulating notices prior to the meetings

The Spokesperson shall represent or communicate with other organizations/associations or media persons in consultation with the President whenever need arises. He shall be a person well versed with the association's constitution.

The Legal advisors shall comprise of the President, General Secretary and three lawyers of the Association and shall be responsible for any issues related to any conflict with other organization.

TENURE OF THE OFFICE BEARERS

The tenure of the office bearer is for a term of 3 years unless dissolved due to certain reasons. Any member of the Alumni Association can be elected or nominated for more than 2 consecutive terms to facilitate the smooth running of the association in the greater interest of the society.

MEETINGS

The house shall meet twice in a year to discuss on the developmental issues and other related activities of the association. The meetings of the association shall be recorded and follow up in every proceeding meetings to meet the requirements of the changing time and get updated for the development of the college.

FUNDS AND INVESTMENT OF THE ASSOCIATION

The funds of the association shall comprise of membership fee of the members, donations and fund from NGOs and governmental institutions. The fund/membership fees collected shall be judiciously utilized for the welfare of the association through conduct of awareness campaigns, cleanliness drive, plantation of trees, attending workshops and seminars of association's interest, awarding meritorious students of B.A/B.Com as per availability of fund position from time to time to boost the morale of the students and also Awardees and outstanding teachers for their contribution in the field of education, sports, art & culture or any other fields of excellence.
